We live in a visual world, especially now. In today’s media-saturated climate, the audience has become desensitized to much of the deliberate visual stimuli exposed to them on a daily basis. Advertisements today, have reached the status of white noise, where ads have morphed more into the environment rather than what they are supposed to do, separate from it. As a result, advertisers, marketers, and designers are constantly thinking up more innovative and creative ways to communicate to the constantly-moving, instant-seeking viewer.

Below are 20 examples of out-of-the-box (literally) designs that exhibit a clear and obvious attempt to avoid the white-noise, non-chameleon effect most advertisements have today. Apparently, over-kill designs can penetrate our over-stimulated, visually numb culture after all.
